968 (and 944, and 928...) Hatch glass separation
My hatch seal pretty much shot around the top of the hatch, with wind whistling in (although no rain... yet). I read one write-up on the DIY section of the 968 Forum on how one owner re-glued his hatch but am not sure I am up for that process.
I stopped in at a glass place this afternoon to ask about it. The manager's comment was: oh no, not another one of those! I guess the good news is that they were familiar with the process. He said he has done 924's, 944's, and 968's and it is an all-day job with risk of breaking the glass.
What have other owners done about this problem?

Bruce, I was planning to use E6000 for the fiberglass side panels, not the lamination. Sorry, I wasn't clear. I don't have any experience in fixing the lamination problem. I think Bob Blackwell did this a few years back.

I’ve used 3M Window Weld after I cleaned out the crude, mine was leaking and it’s dry now. Don’t think I would mess with popping the glass out unless you have a helper. Should be easy to do with piano wire. Just don’t ever use a screw driver. Glass doesn’t give much!!!
