...trying to find the actual diameter of small midrange speaker that is mounted in forward spot where earlier 944's had the original 4x6... The Turbo S & earlier 968 M490's had a 3" speaker beside the 5.25" driver (the 5.25" is undersized) both underneath the armrest in the door. In 1994, the 968 had this smaller midrange speaker moved out from underneath the armrest to the forward 4x6 spot, BUT, it appears, from all the pictures I've seen, that this speaker grew in size. I know it has an oval mounting edge b/c I have a pic of it unmounted. But, did Porsche actually change the size of this speaker for it's remounted location? Maybe closer to 4" from the 3" to 3.25" of the original? It's a really long story, so, in a nutshell, if anyone has access to one & can measure, I'd really appreciate it...
