Default How to keep dash from cracking

My gray dash on my 92 968 is just beginning to warp a little around one defroster vent. I would like to preserve the dash as best as possible. I'm thinking that a carpeted dash cover, a coverlay, or maybe even a simple fold out sunscreen for the windshield would help.

any suggestions here?? Anyone have pics of a carpet style dash cover in place on a 968?

will an ABS plastic cover sit on the dash without gluing it with the included silicon adhesive?

Window shield in the sun, towel on the dash, and try and crack a window if it's dry-it'll keep the heat down a touch. And Vinylex the heck out of it-often.

grey seems to be the worst color for sun damage - no idea why, but i've seen a lot more warped grey stuff than black - really odd

do not use armor all - there are other products out there that are better at UV blocking

you may be able to modify a 944 dash cap to accommodate the airbag
