Default First non-stock mod on my 968

Hopefully I am not heaidng down that slippery slope...

The rear caster mounts were shot on my cab. Since i had a new set of M030 units sitting in the spare parts bin, and no non M030's on hand, I went with the upgrade. Wow, what a difference! My only concern is whether or not I will get flagged is I am showing my car in preservation class.

Scott, this might make you feel better. There is no such thing as a non M030 castor block on 968s. They are all the same .
Enjoy!!!

It stands out like a beacon! The rest of my car is still covered with the cosmoline that they coat the entire underside with, presumeably to protect it from salt while shipping overseas. When I first got the car, I was like "ick! I need to clean that..." until I realized what was going on. Now I think its cool as anything, because it shows that its exactly like it was shipped from the factory.

Although you could order the car without it, but they then insist on you airshipping the car over-they tend to rust on the ship (or so I was told). Some of the real concours nuts do it this way so they don't have to strip the cosmoline before showing the car.
