It's possible....but so is anything if you have enough $$$. They're quite expensive and rare, but there are aftermarket replicas available as well.

Good luck,

Jasmine in the UK sells genuine Speedlines on occasion, and RH is perhaps the vendor with the best reputation for replica's.

The original 968 turbo S rims feature a "speedline for Porsche" mention on the inner circling of each wheel ... 965 3.6 rims too, I think.

Right, Thom, one had polished and one had painted centers-I forget which had which.

Damian - the 968's were polished, the finish having a tendancy to evolve badly through time and damp (similarly to "Club Sport" and "Flat Dish" 944/928 rims, by the way).

Thanks all for the good info.
John - I think that famous shot came from www.968turbo.de or www.968turbo.homestead.com
I found them via Google "Porsche 968 Turbo"
Here's some more teasers ....

I think Kinesis sells a wheel that looks a lot like those Speedlines. Not inexpexsive, but for sure less than real Speedlines.

Rich, the Kinesis are replica's (built under license from Porsche) of the 993RS supercup wheels. The spokes aren't flat like the Speedlines. Kinesis recently discontinued the wheel, and are reintroducing it soon. They don't look great in 18", as the centers were sized for 17" wheels. They're changing it for the new model.

I think the speedlines are the same way. The centers are same size as Kinesis so if you don't like the supercups in 18s, you probably wont like the speedlines in 18 as well.

Like Damian said, I think RH makes the best replica. It is high quality and looks identical to the Speedline, except the center is not polished and of course the speedline script on the rim is not there. They are still not cheap but a bunch less than the originals. I'm very happy with my RH's.
