Is it as simple as removing the allen bolt on the bottom or is there something else holding it on?
I got the bolt off, but the bumper didn't want to come off.

Check out the "Rear Bumper removal" PDF in the DIY section at our 968 Forums. We are building a 968 Specific library of DIY articles. I hope you find this one useful. This particular one is a section of the manual. However most of the PDF's in the library are step by step instructions (with pictures) contributed by members.

Many of the guys have done the removal before, I know Flash just did it a couple of weeks ago.

Good info, but it doesn't really address the question of whether it's just that one bolt. Anyone know of it's just that one bolt keeping them on?

it is just the allen head bolt on the bottom - then you have to pull outward from the bottom and release the bumperette from the top where it is just a hook type of ledge - if you need more info, feel free to email me

Are you talking about the whole bumper or the Bumperettes? There is one allen bolt per bumperette on the bottom. I used a small ratchet and extension. You can simply loosen and then you need to push up to unhook from the ledge type fastening bracket. The Allen bolt just squeezes the bumperette securely in place. You can take the Allen bolt out completely if you wish,
