968 M030 Koni's
Hi,
Have a problem with one of my rear Koni's on my M030 equipped CS.
Does anyone know the Koni part no. for these? - I know the porsche p/n is
944.333.032.03 but need the Koni p/n.
Also has anyone had any experience of getting these units rebuilt? (I am in the UK - but any experience of getting serviced anywhere would be good)
Alternatively do you know where I can get new units?
thanks :-)
Matt.

I know that they can be rebuilt for approx $150 or so. Or you can just buy a new cartridge from a dealer and swap out the rest of the setup. That is what I would recommend. The nice thing about rebuild is that you can have them 3 way adjustable from Koni.

Thanks Raj - will try and find someone over here to rebuild them... if that fails then I guess I can send them to where you recommend.
The M030 Koni are definitely serviceable then? I read someone that they are sealed units but I thought that was unlikely..

I would recommend speaking with Jason from Paragon http://www.paragon-products.com/
He is very knowledgeable on 968 suspension. I am pretty sure he will be able to recommend and/or sell you all the parts you will need for someone to do the rebuild

Ahhhhh godamnit....... just had an interesting conversation with Koni UK...well it was their sole UK distributor/representative - CAF (camberley auto factors).
According to their 'technical expert'... "Koni never made dampers for the 968..they were Sachs or Bilstein"!. I told them very clearly that mine was the M030 equipped car, and it had Koni adjustables as standard etc, but that didn't help. All the data/catalogues etc they had listed parts for 968's exluding the M030 option.
Might have to phone a Koni international place I guess....
