1992 968 electrical issue with multiple components
Good morning all,
Question - i have a 1992 968 and a odd condition involving the headlights, the power windows, the electric rear view mirrors and the hvac system.
Sometimes when I turn the car on none of those components will work. On 2 occasions now i've heard an audible 'switch' inside the cabin and then everything works.
btw, when i just turn the key to position 2, not running the engine, all of the components work all the time. So my theory is that it's something that's supposed to switch on once the car is running.
i think it's inside the cabin, not the fuse box inside the engine bay.
Does anyone know of a switch, or relay that exists inside the cabin or in the dash?
I've lubricated the headlights fyi. Never really suspected that to be the issue, but did it anyway given what i've read.
Thanks,
Tim
