Kind of surprise how many lately.....
Nobody wants to pay for winter storage?
Most "forecasters" are saying 968 values are on the rise, not have risen.

I just think these cars, otherwise overlooked, are finally starting to gain appreciation/reputation as potential collectors so owners are bailing out while it's hot.

This is a normal and typical phase in a classic car's rise*.

I just got in a couple year ago and I adore this thing. I'm gonna just use it as the driver it was intended to be and wave back as others appreciate it.

* I chuckle in 914 forums as those guys are starting to request details on colors and finishes, and stuff for original parts as they work on their concourse restorations...it's the kinda stuff that makes me puke and want to just sell mine...really, you're doing a concourse resto on a 4-banger 914...? Seriously...?

Boy this is the most unusual 968 EVER.
Wonder if this escaped from the Porsche Museum?

Boy of boy, the last several months have seen 968 prices(at least for nice ones) go through the roof!

Maybe it is time for me to update my insurance valuation?

43 K for a 108 k mile example? By then the head needs rebuild, odometer likely busted at one point, and the rear pinion gears start to howl.
No Reserve: 1993 Porsche 968 Coupe 6-Speed for sale on BaT Auctions - sold for $43,218 on March 6, 2026 (Lot #232,461) | Bring a Trailer

To top it off the pictures oif the exterior looked a little too nice, like AI enhanced or something.

Back to working on my 180 K mile example . . .

That car is a gorgeous example with a rare color combo and documents for 27 years…photos don’t look AI, just a nice studio shoot, worth doing to get top dollar for a car.

I think that car was both well sold and well bought.

I noticed something about all of those cars.... color.

No silver. No red. No white. No black. Color brings the green.

Yes, the
"Jelly Bean" colors go for a huge premium? On the $43K, high milage coupe, was that a 10K premium, 15K??

Seems that all these club sports and rare color cars that command such a premium are only going to bring up the value of the regular colored red, black, white cars. We’ve been waiting a long time but soon enough I think these values are going to pop. I mean what’s better than those pop up head headlights, new generation is going crazy for that!
