Hi guys, It's great to be part of this Porsche community. I have purchased the above car here in New Zealand. It was originally sold new in Singapore before being brought into NZ in 1999. RHD, Horizon Blue cabriolet, tiptronic, cobalt blue leather interior. I cannot find the option code sticker anywhere. It's not in the service manual and I can't see it in the trunk. I am hoping someone like Jeff968 will be able to work out some details for me from the VIN.
Also, I'd love to know how many cabriolets were sold worldwide, how many of those were tiptronic, how many horizon blue cars were sold worldwide and how many were tiptronic, cabriolet versions? Basically any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Jeff usually checks in often. i would assume that he is on family vacation. Beach or Mountain? Don't know, be patient.
His web site is the 968 register, or something similar.

Hi Yogii,
Those production numbers are all wrong. You have to go to the 968 register for the correct info.

F4 Horizon Blue, V4 Cobalt top, TV Cobalt blue interior,
Options/Features include the metallic paint, partial leather, Right hand drive, C24 New Zealand emissions, 249 Tiptronic, 288 headlight washers, 418 Body side moldings, 438 8-way full power driver's seat (on the right on your car), 490 Hi-Fi sound with 8 speakers and amp, 561 single airbag (driver's side, right side on your car), 533 Alarm, 573 Air conditioning, 651 power windows.
Production numbers: your car is #1,697 of 1,881 ROW cabs and #391 of 571 1993 ROW cabs
Color stats: I don't have my ROW cab database complete at this point. What I can tell you is I have 137 ROW cabs in F4 Horizon blue. For North America, my database is complete. I have 35 F4 Horizon blue cabs out of 2,008. I have 134 tip cabs for ROW.
Interesting thing about F4 Horizon Blue, it was the launch color for the ROW 968 cabriolet. That is why there is so many of them.
Sign up at 968register.org and I'll give you the above in a nice document, no cost. Jeff

Hi Jeff (@Jeff968),
Thanks so much for the detailed info. Brilliant! And for the offer of doing a certificate for me with the key data.. Gee low production numbers especially in tiptronic. I read somewhere only approximately 25% of the coupes and cabriolets sold, were optioned tiptronic.I have hopefully successfully registered in the 968 register. Let me know if I need to do add other info to be accepted into the register.
My car has has the cambelt, tensioners and water pump replaced in January of this year. I'll be doing low miles each year. In terms of time elapsed, how many years before Ido the belts again and could the waterpump remain?
Kind regards
