Default Recharge AC question.

Hey guys, where the LP side schrader valve? I found the high side, but I can’t seem to locate the LP side to do a recharge.

TIA

It is very poorly (MHO) located in the suction hose close to the compressor. Unfortunately it is positioned upside down which can allow water to wick its way past the threads of the dust cap. In the past I've had difficulty removing the caps due to rust and corrosion and/or found the service port rusted. Best wishes

So I looked yesterday and couldn’t see it. Do you have to access it from below? (Seems incomprehensibly dumb as the HP is easily accessed right by the radiator) Seems crazy they relocated it from by the fuse box like a 944.

I’ve never attempted to access it from above. Remember, IMO this is very poorly placed. Look in the parts catalog illustration 815-13 item #57. You’ll get an idea of it’s location.

Thx. Man is that a blow to morale. Totally physically incapable of doing that currently. Pissed I didn’t have it recharged when I last did my belts, even though it didn’t really need it then.

It requires access from below. If you don't have the batwing on, you can get at it below the driver's side headlight area. If you do have it on, you'll need to take it off. I believe the dryer is right there also. I had some pictures of me doing a charge on my 951, but can't easily find them.
