Every time I’ve had an issue with my headlight motors, it’s been after I turned the car off with them up. I always lower mine before I turn off the ignition. I had one motor fail, but I’ve had each side stick several times after leaving them up. Usually self cures after a drive, and TBH I have no idea if it’s even related to leaving them up or not. Perhaps just coincidence.

I rarely drive at night, so I hardly ever use them. But I did last weekend and when I pulled under the lights in my carport I realized I hadn’t washed them in 3-4 years.

Need to remember to lift them next time I’m wiping him down.

Unless I hit a bump after I turn them off, I have them winking. One up, one down.
A very mild inconvenience....

Hmm, never since having lights up when the car is shut off leaves the parking lights on and drains the battery.

not so
headlights on / up when ignition on
switch to "parking lights"
Key off
parking lights off
headlights remain UP
no battery draw

I felt the peer pressure and did a quick ONR with the headlights up in my chiro’s parking garage last week. Good for another 4 years!

Sorry for my stupidity, but what does ONR mean?
