I just got my car back from having a few things done. The shop must have tightened the tensioner too tight. The Alternator/Airco tensioner bolt nearest the centre of the car must sheared as I got back. As they are 200km away, I need to sort it here. The tensioner was wedged so the belts didn't come off. Hence the car drove but squeaking.
The bolt shaft is in the hole. Do I need to order a specific bolt/part? I'm hoping I can remove it as I'm not sure the head is still on the bolt..
ps: The shop has always been excellent so I don't want to slam them, but I think the guy must have just tensioned it too tight and the consequences suck.
Thanks for all advice..

It's a regular M8 bolt. They didn't loosen the bolt before tightening the belt. You have to loosen the bolts holding the tensioner rods before adjusting the belt tension, or the bolts will break.
Did they do a belt job on the car? If so, the balance shaft might not be in time, it creates a lot of vibration and causes these bolts to shear. I chased that problem on my 968 for a long time and then sold it before I figured it out.
something looks off on the mounting for the tensioning strut - thought that the front side should have a bolt head, not a nut, and the washer should go between the bolt head and the eye bolt.
