Question XPost: How to get a stuck torsion bar end cap off?

For those that have re-indexed, did any of you have an endcap that was particularly hard to get off? I have indexed the driver's side and need to do the passenger side and the freaking end cap is stuck on the torsion bar. Any suggestions on freeing the torsion bar from the end cap would be greatly appreciated.

Seems like they did not use any grease. It might have had some water in there and rusted a little. Unfortunately, in this case, you might have to lower the carrier and pull the end cap with the torsionbar and then pull it off.

Hmm, do you think some PB Blaster or WD40 sprayed down there might help, I have yet to try that one out.

Well, I got off the end caps with some PB Blaster and some nice whacks with a rubber mallet while holding onto the torsion bar. Success finally!
