Random wire behind the alternator

Hey guys, I am working on bringing a 986 back to life -- went to replace the alt and found this random wire behind the alt not bolted down. I see no place where it should go.

Any help?

@931guru oops, my mistake. I did find another thread about it and turns out it is, -- it goes on the + stud for the v reg. Who knew
