Default Stock Battery hold down

Does anyone know if our stock battery hold down mechanism meets the requirements of PCA sponsored driver eductions events? If not what have 968 participants using?

Mine is stock, and I've never had any problems in tech for PCA DE's or Club Races.

Thanks Jim!

Any recomendations on Helmets?

When I drove motorcycles and still ride bicycles I have been partial to Bell brand helmets. Any style/model/brand recs?

As you may have guessed I am gearing up for my first PCA DE event. Any other conciderations?

You'll definitely want to get an SA rated helmet. I have a Bell M2 and a Bell M3. Both work well for me. The M3 is lighter since its made of Kevlar, but is more expensive for that reason. You can look at them here:

These two are good choices, because they come in real hat sizes to ensure a perfect fit vs. lots of other helmets that only come in S, M, L & XL.

I happen to enjoy the Bell also. I have the larger opening for eyeglass wearers that work well for me.

When I wear sunglasses it's nice to have the large opening.
