Amazon Green/Cashmere 968 Roller
My friend is selling his 1992 Amazon Green/Cashmere roller. It has no engine but otherwise complete. See post on PCA.

Pete, I know it is your friends car, but do you happen to know if he got it out of NC?
I think it might be my old car based on the color combo, seat condition, and the radio. If closer I would probably be making a run at getting it back, the amazon green wasn't my favorite back when I sold it, but it has grown on me over the years.

There is a 968 engine for sale in the classifieds.- https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale...ong-block.html
Theoretically these could get married up to make a driver for less than $10K.

Its a 1992 so probably has the split torque tube, if you look at the link its clearly a 6 speed and his description says that its an open dif meaning NO lsd, but says recently rebuilt and not a tiptronic. Most 92/93 cars have the split torque tube. Real 94's and 95's may have the good torque tubes IIRC.

I'm looking at it. Thoughts on price and cost to get running with a used motor?
Ironically I sold my spare 968 engine last year!

I think your confusing the split torque tube with the two piece bell housing that makes 968 clutch jobs much easier than 944. Split or slit may be a better way to say it was a design difference in the torque tube bearing housing. Over time the split/slit tubes dont hold the bearing as tightly or in alignment as I understand it.
