Default Early full leather cab on eBay

Looks like a nice one on eBay. Note the cashmere FULL leather interior. Stitching on door pulls, lower dash, and console. Early car (#99) with the recessed hood badge and larger rear emblem. 220 Limited slip too!

Jeff,

It looks like it has a metal band just below the dash and above the lower panel. It that standard on the early cars? Is that part of the full leather treatment?
Never seen that before.
Thanks,

No, that is an add on. There was a wood package offered later (extremely rare) which would have covered the same area, called the trailer. there was also a techart aftermarket package that you could paint for this area.

only 30 Full leather cabs and 20 full leather coupes. Cost almost $5k back in the day.

I used to own a - 91 full leather 951 with the woodpackage from factory. So I guess it was available already on the 951. It also had the steeringwheel from the 964 turbo s with the Porsche lettering on the rim. That wheeldesign came on the 968 clubsport in - 92 but without the script on the rim.
There is another full leather 968 cab for sale on mobile now also.

Always wondered what the Sherwood Green looked like. Kinda like it. Jeff - were there many cars imported to the US with that color option?

Jeff-the green German car has door guards. Strips that are half way up the doors. Was this just a ROW standard or option?
Never seen that before either, maybe left over parts from a 928?

Hi.

Yes I am sure. It was one of the last produced 951:s and was first owned by the factory. I have never before or after seen either a 951 or a 968 with as many options as that car had. It had optioncodes on the VIN that I have never seen and Porsche could never verify them. Still regret I sold it. Later it was sold to Germany and I saw it for sale on mobile about 2 years ago still with low mileage (about 60000km) Price then was 55000 euro and it sold quickly. It was Cobolt blue with fully blue interior so very blue but fantastic car.

North American 968s have them too. Option code 418. 335 of the 2,234 coupes and 236 of the 2,008 cabs had this option so they are out there.
