Would you buy a car that had been re-sprayed?

Sadly, this car had Cup 1's that were refinished that he was going to include with the sale. They were already spoken for at way below market value when I contacted him asking if he'd sell them separately.

Too bad. The Cup 1s look so good on these cars.
A really nice-looking 53k mile car that has Cup 1s just popped up near me but, unfortunately, its a Tiptronic!
I did some research... is the consensus still that trying to do a manual transmission swap is not cost effective?

If this is my old 968 that I refurbished in Texas the owner or buyer needs to reach out to me IMMEDIATELY. I have a bunch of documentation for the car. I hope this was my old one. Cobalt respray 92 with twist wheels, black interior. Send a PM if you know the contact info for the current owner. He needs the books I have from the car. I had the paint done by a Porsche specialist and it was very nice when I sold it.
I bought the car out of a backyard that had been sitting in the Texas sun for 5 years. There was no rust, no body damage, just bad clear coat and peeling paint. We stripped it down pretty good and prepped it well.

If the guy's name is Shane that you sold the car to, here is his craigslist ad, I personally love the car.

Thanks for the link. It is close enough that I would be extremely tempted, if I did not already succumb to the spouse's wishes and purchase a modern front engined 4 door water cooled P-car. (I guess two clutch issues in a year on the S4 were a bit much; at least I can keep it, for now) This may have been more fun as a daily driver, even in LA traffic. With respect to the dead horse, those wheels, while nicely done, do need a new home away from that car.

Yup, that's my old car. It did not need timing belt, or reseal of the engine because I'm the one that did that in 2013. I can't contact the seller as the ad link for contact doesn't work. If anyone buys this car, they need to contact me and get all the documentation I have. I'll try to reach the seller again. The hitch has been removed, and I don't know where it went, but there was a hitch on it when I owned it. Please anyone having info about the seller contact me though PM.
Edit; OK I sent Shane a text with the info. Hope he gets back to me.

All orig paperwork is back in the hands of the seller. Window sticker from new, sales brochure, orig TX owner history, dealer prep booklet, and some receipts. It was a good car for me, but I got tired of the black int pretty quick. If I had kept it, I would have changed the seats to tan, or maybe burgundy.
