All interesting info, what shocks me is how overpriced the 968 was!
My 968 Cab Tiptronic had a sticker of $61,000 - that's horrific, particularly when you take into consideration that the owner traded it in 10 years later for $14,000.
Similar story with the last 944 Turbos, they listed (in 88-89) at over 50K, dealers had to discount them 20% to clear their lots. The low volumes 89-92 caused by high prices (caused by bad exchange rates) nearly sent Porsche bankrupt.
The Boxster came out in the mid-30's, what a huge difference & accounts for the fact that the Boxster sells in far higher volumes.
Now the Euro is is at 1.26 Euros I think Porsche will be in a sticky position again...

OK build date on yellow car is 10/94 delivered and sold 1/95, keep in mind this was a special order car so i guess it was not destined to sit around dealership very long. As for comment regarding VIN range, I don't think the math of 258-60 works, however maybe I have a very rare 969 and a 1/2?

Oh by the way I do have a letter from PCNA telling me about yellow car being last 968 coupe built, not last 968 as it seems that was a cabriolet.

Rich, the Excellence article made the comment that your yellow car was the last 968 coupe *sold*. You say you have a PCNA document that says it's the last one *built*. This is different. And now it makes more sense.
