Tying in Factory Amplifiers to After Market Head Unit
This seems to be more common over on the 911 boards. Just curious if anyone has done it on a 968 and if they can share any information? Looks like I need an 8 pin DIN female connector to male RCA adapter. I'm not sure if I need an amp wake signal on this adapter or not.
Here's a picture of a harness someone had made.

Colin,
Thomas Ryan had posted this website link and they have an interesting harness that will work either way. It has speaker level to line level converter when you want to take a head unit like the Continental that has no line level outs to the factory amp. Otherwise you could get the din connector you posted when trying to go to an auxilliary amp. Some Aux amps will wake on music line level signal or on 12v and often have a switch to choose which you want.
They may also be a good place to ask a technical question as they are clearly knowledgeable.
