Default New Ultimate Motowerks K27 "S" Turbochargers

I have in stock new K27 "S" 7200 turbochargers.

I designed this turbocharger as a direct upgrade replacement for "our" 965 turbo. The benefit is a larger 3" inducer and larger capacity compressor housing. Coupled with a tighter turbine housing the K27 "S" will spool up 350 to 500 RPM's sooner vs the stock 7200.

The center section, compressor wheel, bearing housing and turbine wheel are Borg Warner factory new. Infact late November 2016 production.

This turbocharger is a drop in replacement for the tired factory 7200. I do recommend that you heat up the silicone 90 degree "boot" in hot water to allow for a easier fitment.

Price is $1,589.00

Apples vs Oranges..

The K27S was designed after the HyFlow "S" to incorporate the 3.0" inducer inlet.

The K27 "S" uses the same 965 cartridge specs.. Same 54mm inducer compressor wheel, same turbine (newer shaft design), same bearing housing. If you removed the stock compressor housing you could bolt on the K27 "S" compressor "cover" housing. You can't do that with the larger higher output K27 Hyflow/HyFlow S..

With your 3.6, keep the K27 Hyflow..

Thanks for the response. I have been happy with the HF. Hope you sell a lot of the new S's.

What, if any, other components need to be changed to safely run this turbo on a stock 964 turbo?

Direct bolt on. I recommend putting the Grey 90 elbow in hot boiling water so that it will slip over the 3" turbo inlet. It really isn't a big deal.

Sorry for the possibly moronic question, I spend more time driving rather than understanding the why of things. Along with the turbo kicking in quicker will it also add power from the stock version?

Generally if you can spool up the turbocharger sooner>more boost is generated. The result is torque being built sooner and greater over that RPM curve. I don't know how your engine is setup right now. Headers, exhaust, wastegate spring 1.0 bar?

You have 91 octane in Denver..

To make more power you will need to change the wastegate spring (no more than a 1 bar spring) and remove some of the backpressure "exhaust" restrictions..

Yes, we have 91 octane. I also bought a Fabspeed Zork Tube, I just never got around to installing it on the car.

Your going to have to switch exhaust systems to take full advantage of a hotter turbo. The stock heat exchangers and J pipe are very restrictive.

Having boost at lower engine speeds makes a car feel faster and more like a large displacement, normally aspirated engine.
