Default Wider Wheels and Tires 93 Turbo body 964

I wan to install 19x9 with 235s on front and 19x11 with 305s on the rear of my 93 turbo 964. I am told they will fit but so far no one can tell or give me the wheel offset (ET) needed for installation that will not cause suspension issues or body modifications. Might I get some help?

Who told you they would fit? If they fit where are the pictures so you can see that they fit?

Best wheel, best looking wheel, most widely accepted as the "right" wheel is the Speedline 3.6 Turbo wheel. These came as 52 ET 8" and ran a 225/40 tire and 61 ET 10" 265/35 x 18 .

I have built 53 ET 8.5 as an upgraded front wheel and 56 ET 10.5" . Some of the 965 owners have actually gotten a 295 on a 10.75" but that is just about max.

I am now building a special set of wheels that will be 10" and 13" x 18 ---- BUT this is a narrow body car with fender flares to be added and extended after the tires/wheels are installed - so building the body to fit the wheels never available from Speedline. jdorociak@gmail.com Jim

Thank you for your response. I am getting the opinion from others that 19s are not the way to go.

Plenty of 911's and 964's wide and narrow bodies running 19's......but there is a fine line between wheels that look correct and ones that look horrible.

Keep searching the internet, you'll see just what I'm talking about.
It took me awhile to find a set of 19's for my Pcar that look just right.......to me....and that is really all that counts

Ascetically, 19's will make the rotors and calipers look tiny.

Correct....they will...but what a perfect opportunity for a rotor/ caliper upgrade!

Default 18" for my America Roadster

After asking for and getting some excellent views on wheel sizes for my America Roadster, I decided to keep my original Cup I wheels as my backup set and get my 18" wheels refurbished. I cannot thank you enough for the pictures of rides that helped me make the decision. This boring, old fart, retired helicopter pilot is going to stay within the flight envelope for a stock looking Porsche.

If the Cups were 18 inch diameter and a little wider, I'd have them on my car. I really like them.

Default Gemballa

They made a great Cup wheel back in the day, A guy has been listing 2 Sets on Ebay for a while, not there now, but may pop up again, offsets would fit 964's I believe.

Default Cup I and Speedline

My Cup I 17" wheels were refurbished and I pick them up when I get home. I still like the look and too bad Porsche did not make them in 18".

The view on your car, Metal Guru, showing the wheels is stunning.

Jim Dorociak said he would take my wheels in for refinish. I am about 99% sure I will go with polished because that look will really set off my car when viewed from the side. Right now I have the painted centers. Not bad, but lacks the eye candy pop that you get with polished.

I do appreciate the exchange of information.

friends dont let friends run 19" on 964

964 turbos look great on 17" 964 Cup car size/offset wheels.
Front 8x17 ET52
Rear 9.5x17 ET68

They also look great on 18" Speedlines.

Only other choice would be 18" BBS E88 IMO.
