Tires and tire wear
I saw Anthony had mentioned getting 8k miles out of rears. And rather than hijack thought I'd start a new thread.
My rears - which are Michelin Pilot Super Sports 285/35/18 that I bought 3 years ago to replace a set of Hankook Ventus R12 (V12? - regardless - I do NOT recommend them) - anyway now the Super Sports are worn out. They have been a great performing tire and I got 14,000 miles out them - mix and city, highway and canyon carving. They have a 15,000 mile tread wear warranty LOL.
I will be getting them again (although I wish they were available in 295/30) and so next time I'll probably need to do all four - and will see what's good then.
Anyway - thought you guys might be interested to hear about wear on the Super Sports.

I would be happy with 14k miles.
I agree with you the Super Sports are a nice tire. I have them on my C2 in 225/265 18" size and I like them a little better than the PS2. I wish they made them in either the 285 or 295. I was running 235/295 MPS2's on my turbo but switched back to 225/285 since I don't use them enough to warrant nearly $1000 for the rears alone. The 285's weren't that much better compared to the price of the 265 SS.
Not sure why 295's are so pricey I just replaced all four Michelin 295/21" on my Cayenne GTS and they were almost as expensive as the 295/18".
