121k for a vw is ridiculous, imo. That was solely bid up because of Seinfeld's name.

Can't argue with that. I guess the market is what it is but seems like a waste to me.

I agree, it's silly; the car's no different because Seinfield owned it but if your a buyer with circus money, what the hell, go for it.

When it comes time to sell the Highlander I'm gonna see if I can get Jerry to come and take a quick ride in it with me.
2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid: 110k miles, survived raising two kids into college, carrying gear to track days and soccer teams to games. Jerry Seinfeld approved (note pictures). Only 62,900$

I don't disagree, however Seinfeld has a reputation for paying up for the best and spending crazy money on it if it isn't. I would venture to guess it is an exceptional example to command that money.

Unlike the McQueen car which brought huge $$ solely based on the fact that he spec'd it out as new. After all he was the King of Cool.

The question is why would anyone spend up for a VW. But people pay a million for a bottle of MaCallan scotch so who knows.

The Flachbau and the Brumos 4.0 Cup were the two dumb prints at this auction.

If a 3.6 package car is worth over a million bucks, the 3.3 Leichtbaus should be worth $1.5 million and our "vanilla" 3.6 Turbos at least $0.5 million.

Hurray... not.

Would be interesting to know where these cars end up? Globe wise? Continent? States? 20+ million in P-Cars disappear from Jerry's private hanger to private hangers around the globe....
