It almost looks metallic black in that light. This must be the car I was contacted about that had the factory tail instead of the turbo S tail. IMO it doesn't work with the ducts without the turbo S tail. Still a beautiful car and must be asking a huge sum for it. Also the splitters are painted to match which was not the way they came from the factory.

Apparently a Robert Jordan, (who says he's a dealer at Canepa's) states the price of
WP0AC2967RS480408 is $260K, which seems to be very very low.

That Robert said that the owner is relocating and gave it for sale at that price for a quick sale ...

Don't understand the market ...

UPDATE: THAT AD WAS A SCAM!

I don't know who Robert Jordan is, but I do know where Canepa got this car and it has nothing whatsoever to do with an owner relocating. I am also willing to wager the entire bankroll that they are not selling this car for $260,000. First, they paid much more than this to acquire the car. Second, Canepa is very sharp and they know well that the market for a Package Car is measured in multiples of $260,000.

However, if I'm wrong on the above and you buy it for $260,000 and want to resell it for a quick profit, please call me!

Well, I'm neither in the market nor up to flipping something on the other side of the ocean ... was just reporting what the guy is claiming UPDATE: THE ADD WAS A SCAM, CAR STILL OWNED AND ON SALE @ CANEPA'S FOR MUCH HIGHER PRICE ... here is the full text he put on the ad at this link https://www.facebook.com/groups/pors...8137328201403/

Documented low mileage of 6,112 miles
Fully serviced and detailed
This is one of the 17 'US market only' 964 Turbo 3.6 S built by Porsche, also know as the ‘USA Package' car. Essentially the 'Package' car is a Flachbau without the flatnose. It is designated as a Turbo S Model (option code '36S') ordered without the code X85 (Turbo 'Flatnose Package') option. Although reminiscent of the 1992 Turbo 3.3 S of which there were 86 built, the 1994 Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6 S it is one of the rarest production Porsches with only 17 cars ever built.
Completed by the Porsche factory on 11/9/1993, this extremely rare 964 Turbo 3.6 S was originally purchased by John DiGirolamo at Auto Strasse in Quebec, Canada on June 3rd 1994. 480408 has the rare option code 740 which identifies it as an exhibition vehicle, or in other words, a show car. This explains how a 'US market only' car was originally sold in Canada, and its delay before being sold, as it would have toured regional car shows.
Segal Motorcar in Concord, Ontario would purchase the car in 2000 with around 6,043 miles. They would keep the car on static display until March 2003 when it would be purchased and brought to the US by its new owner. That owner would keep the car in storage until it was purchased by Canepa.
Since arriving at Canepa the 3.6S has received a thorough mechanical inspection and servicing. While this is an immaculate, low mileage car, as with any vehicle that has remained static for long periods of time some systems will need attention to bring the car back up to road going condition. The fuel system has been rebuilt from fuel injectors to fuel tank. The A/C system was gone through from compressor to condenser. New tires were fitted. In fact, every system was addressed to insure that the 3.6S runs as good as it looks. Speaking of looks, the 3.6S has received over 100 hours of meticulous detail work bringing all of the original finishes and surfaces up to concours winning levels.
Rightly held as one of the best handling and most powerful air-cooled 911s ever constructed, this example of the 3.6S is certainly one of finest available anywhere. Of course being one of only 17 ever built, finding another one may be a challenge in itself.

Second in line. The message from Robert makes no sense especially if Canapa was involved. Although the link is to a Veterinarian so I am not sure why i should believe what he has to say.

Nice 3.6's in stock form are commanding far more than $260k so if there is any truth to this I would not be publicising it.

I agree this price doesn't make sense to me either, but whoever wants to check may still call Bruce for verification ... and if there is something wrong with that Robert, he can take all the measures to protect his business ...

If it's a genuine car with an asking price of $260,000, then why won't Bruce buy it himself and sell for profit?

Canepa already owns this car, not a chance they are asking $260k. I heard from someone at cars and coffee they are asking $389k for the silver 3.6 turbo, not sure of the accuracy of that.

Indeed I spoke to Canepa today, whilst talking of another car.

They confirmed the car is not for sale at $260K and that 'Robert Jordan' has no affiliation with them. It would seem that post is fraudulent.

A simple way to check whether the car in question is an S or not etc is by running a VIN check. http://www.renntech.org/images/vin_d...INDecoder.html

Any OPC should be able to tell you what options came with the car based on the VIN and thus clarify the specification. Simples.

Thank you. If you can point the post to Canepa, than he might consider letting appropriate actions. Krgds. M.

Looks like the package car sold.

I was at cars and coffee at Canepa yesterday and noticed that the silver car is missing the dot from the emblem.hard to imagine they can ask so much for a car and not fix something so simple.
