I'm really only worried about the drive home and had preferred to have the clear bra installed at the paint shop so my paint guy could supervise the work.
Despite this unseasonably warm weather I put all but my 928 away for the winter if I were you I would pay to flat bed it home and let it sit for a while before doing anything. You put so much into it. I have no doubt your guy did an A1 job and the paint will stick but I have seen paint 6 weeks lift when the 3M film was applied there are other less aggressive films but is it worth taking the chance. The paint is still quite soft so you're more likely to mar it than chip it. Although anything is possible but if it is going to happen it will. Getting the first blemish out of the way is best. I hate to say it but a perfect car only lives in a museum.

That sounds like a pretty good plan. I probably wont drive it until at least march anyways.

I got a call from my paint guy this morning that the car is basically done. We are still waiting on the spoiler lip to come from Germany, it should be here any day now. Once that is here the deck lid and spoiler can go back on. Jim is hoping to have the wheels done next week some time. New tires arrived on Monday. It's getting very close!

Did you decide to wait on clear bra? If so, are you trailering it home?

Finally saw the car completely painted today and all back together when I went up to pay my final bill. Still waiting on the speedlines to come back from Jim but should have them soon. Will still have to do the Xpel in the future and reinstall the bumper plugs but the car really came out beautiful. I'm very happy with the results!

Fantastic piranha! ... I'm sure she looks stunning,... all dressed up for the big night out....

and the front mud flaps look good too. Thanks again for the part #'s on those. I am very glad I put em on mine too.

I like that you left the round exhaust tips, and went back to the OEM style oval. I made those same choices recently too.

But hey,... tell your paint guy to install some nice spot halogens {many small ones} around the ceiling of his shop,... LIGHT THAT BAD BOY UP FOR PICS!

Oh, and since we never get to run our hands over the nice curves & hips of our rides,... ENJOY running your white glove hands over the nice new rubber whale tail. That just looks delicious.

congrats,... and enjoy!

Thanks everyone! I'm really looking forward to seeing it all done, it should look great once the Speedlines are back on. Can't wait for spring to come!

Car looks awesome! I'm jealous. My black needs a little TLC. I'll probably have a pro go over it this spring. Repaint some day if/when I have to.

But yeah your car looks stunning. Can't beat a clean black car. Too bad they only stay clean for about 7 minutes... :-)

Thanks! I haven't had a nice black car in a long time. It may become a fulltime job if I want to keep it looking like this.

pirahna, everything is painted, prepped and loosely assembled. Tomorrow morning they will have the final truing, the bolts torqued and the wheels sealed. I have to start on your center caps and need a day or so for everything to dry
