^ From my understanding the 930 and 964 turbo rear whale spoilers are identical if not the same, judging by the pictures.

We have a 930 S in the family and 2x Turbo 3.6, I haven't seen any difference in the wing itself.

Sorry I was talking about the S model in the 964/965 (Flachbau). Yes the 930 "S" does have basically the same wing as a regular 964/965 Turbo (I've had 2) , but the S model 964/965 wing IS different from the 930 "S" wing. Hows that? lol

I honestly prefer a 930 S regardless of the rarity, it just looks perfect with the fuchs and has that obnoxious 80's styling.

Actually the tail is different on the 964 vs the 930. The base on the 964 does not have the bump that is drilled out for the old style rear window wiper and the rubber piece is considerably smaller. They both have the same basic outline but the profile on the 964 was reduced by almost an inch IIRC correctly.

This is the best picture I can find comparing the two. As you can see the older 930 tail has a deep dish effect vs the 964 which seems to be less tall and I am assuming has less drag.

It is not as noticeable as you would think. I owned the two cars parked them side by side for almost two years before I realized the rubber was different.

How is your K27HF on your car, would you recommend it and what CO % are you running ?

I found it to be a huge difference in overall feel. Not so sure the car is much faster however where the difference real shows is in throttle control. Less of an on off effect allowing you to feather the throttle with far more confidence and spool up is almost 1000 rpms sooner.

What fuel enrichment do you have, ?
Mine is a 3.6
I am boosting .9 bar which I assume is like stock ( digital gauge oem reads .7) aftermarket .9

I have b&b headers, camshafts and cargraphic muffler with oem k27. Is it safe to install a upgraded K27 like yours and dial up the CO say to 3.5-6 where as I am in the 3.3 range now.

Honestly your testing my memory which is not as good as it used to be. My engine is otherwise completely stock. Only changed the BOV to billet version, 1 bar spring, K27 HF, B&B headers with magnaflow muffler K&N filter. Car was tuned on a dyno and we ran it rich to be safe. CO is high but IIRC in the 3.4 to 4 range but don't hold me to it.

With these mods there is no need for fuel enrichment with stock cams. car runs strong and I have a PLX gauge that monitors my temps, Boost and AFR. Boost is well within the safe zone.

Factory boost is between .84 and .87 IIRC for the 3.6's a little higher for the turbo S and a little lower for the 3.3L cars

X83 Japan was offered with standard and 3.8RS tail only. No Turbo S tail. The photo is probably one of the three X83's that were bought by U.S. buyers.

Don't know much about Ferrari's but my guess would be because the cars do not meet FMVSS or cannot cheaply be made to meet FMVSS. So not importable or too costly to import, plus they lose value once modified. These X83's from a FMVSS standpoint are identical to the U.S. models.
