Default Softest lowered suspension

Not sure if this has been covered before - but - does anybody know - what would be the _softest_ suspension setup but still be lowered? Seems all the lowering setups also make the car ride stiffer/more harsh than stock...the roads here in Denver are just horrible these days - making me think hard about keeping sport suspension setups on my car(s).

When you lower the car, you give up suspension travel. Hence the propensity to bottom out increases. Bottoming out causes a harsh ride because you basically have a solid suspension at that point with little compliance.

While it may be contra intuitive, running stiffer springs on a lowered car can improve ride quality. This is because the stiffer springs reduce the propensity to bottom out. While the ride does feel firmer all the time, the jarring bottoming events become less frequent.

So if you want to lower the car, stiffer springs are the right thing to do.

I'm in the same boat and the only true solution is a proper set of dampers that can feel comfortable with a higher spring rate (MCS, Moton, JRZ). I picked up some Motion Control single adjustable and will run 300F and 450R and see how that works out. EVO uprights really help if you are lowered as well but that adds a lot of expense.

Yeah my car is currently lowered with the H&R adjustable ride height kit. I really like it - in general - it is just harsh on expansion cracks and other rough sections....

My car came with H&R red springs on stock struts and rides great. It first had 17" wheels but I now have 18" RH and the ride got a little worse but the look got better for sure! It is lowered with the stock ring collar. Very pleased but don't push the car too hard as the handling starts with a push and then wants to snap loose.....like all of them

This is 25 year old technology. We lower these things. We put big wheels on these things. We put 'rubber bands' on for tires. Thicker sway bars (by the way what are your sway bars). Heavy duty springs and shocks and we want a softer ride!! The Bilstein adjustable system PSS??10 whatever might help. But not much is going to help create a 'softer' ride for the street. PS... softer is in the eye/rear of the beholder.

I wouldn't call it soft, but I put koni fsd shocks on with eibach sport springs and my car is now just right. Roads here in Texas are rough too.
