Default heel toe in a 964 turbo

Any one here heel toe during downshift ? I find it not easy as the car wont rev as fast as the NA cars. Mine is stock standard 964 3.3 turbo.

Yes, sometime just to practice for my race car. It really only works well if you are braking quite hard to where the brake pedal is depressed quite a bit.

For that exact reason is why NA 964 has such a strong following and the value.

I once happened to drive a 90 964 NA and to tell u the truth, I loved the smooth power delivery so much that if a nice one came along, I might consider pursuing it as well.

I roll my knee to the right and flex my ankle minimally. The big blip of the throttle (no one wants a little blip) makes the consistent match of the engine speed with the car's rolling speed possible.

Its in the ankle. I normally double clutch on down shifts and it is much easier the harder you brake. Rennline or someone make a wider pedal, but I've never needed it. Just takes practice. The bottom hinged pedals on 911's have always made it harder. Is your brake pedal adjusted to be more or less level with the accelerator pedal under braking? On some cars it is too high to comfortably roll your foot.

Yep.. Usually it's not a problem for me in NA cars where it's so responsive. Just find the accelerator very lazy.

I heel-toe every car I drive, virtually every time I downshift. I have ever since I started driving a manual transmission 40 years ago. Honestly, I never understand why people have issues, or need to go to wider pedals (unless the driver is a petite woman with very tiny feet). Just a matter of finding a foot alignment that works.

It's much easier to rev-match in a car with a LWFW, and I do find myself sometimes wishing I had one in the Turbo, but I also know that a LWFW can be a PITA sometimes on the street.
