Are you sure its is the pump leaking?
mine was cam seal and ´´O ´´ ring for the power steering pump
you should be able to search either here or pelican 964 thread on changing these two parts.

I know mine is leaking PS fluid, as it is filled with Pentosin Chf11, and the drips are clear, and my reservoir is getting lower very slowly. Just want to make sure I am tackling the right problem

yeah mine's leaking engine oil, not PS fluid. Right onto the heat exchanger - and then while moving me thinks it sprays/flies onto the muffler. Stinky. Smoky. Not behavior worthy of a 911 Turbo.

I did mine 3 years ago and I saw it was weeping a little when I took the pump assembly off the engine

I would love to just be able to see the little bugger, so I can see if it is leaking at the pump, or one of the hoses. These engineers figure all of the mechanics have arms like this

Being the clever engineer that I am, I left it on But yeah, removing it is one of those tasks that has you under and over the car.
If you think our pump location is bad, check out the water-cooled cars. You literally have to remove the rear end of the car to access it and then it's buried on the engine.

I heard from a knowledgeable source that the vast majority of the time the leak (oil not PS fluid) is at the seal not the O-ring - and the seal is easier (or should I say less difficult!) to get to.
Comments? Thoughts?
I talked to a known good shop here and it sounds like they bill 4-5 hours in labor to do the seal - another couple hours for the O-ring. I think I'll give er a shot.

Ok - yeah if its just a few more minutes definitely. They said another two hours! Figures.
I'm going to put this little project aside for a month or so as I need to change the oil and figure out why I have no washer fluid coming out anywhere. Taking the car on a road trip 4th of July week - Denver to Sioux Falls, SD.
