Default Best muffler to install on 964 T with Tial WasteGate and B&B headers with no cats.

Hello,

I dont like the B&B muffler with the tips on it, what successful attempt has one taken to install a different muffler with the a car that has similar mods to mine.

As you know the centre muffler has two connecting pipes for the exhaust tips, what similar muffler is available with oval tips for that oem + look.

I run factory headers a straight tube instead of the cat with a muffler delete tube coming out. The turbo acts as a pretty good muffler and the noise is a nice burble at low speeds, at high speeds I don't hear anything inside the car. Are you allowed to run without a cat? Make sure and plug your air pump ports and delete the tubing. This also takes about 50lbs off the rear of the car.

I run a Rarlyl8 sport muffler and it's too loud for me.
A straight pipe could be pretty obnoxious, depending on preference (it certainly would be for me).

Its okay to run a car with no cats full straight pipe, can anyone send me a link where to get the straight pipe ?

Can you install any tips that you want or forced like B & B with a certain model depending on manufacturer ?

Here is the underside of my car,

What do I need to make it fully straight pipe. I want it to be loud at idle.

I did a search but I dont understand the scart, g neck and other references.

Will the fabspeed items work on my car ?

How will the tips be connected ?

IMO, when deviating from stock, the aftermarket tips don't look all that good. The PO of my car put Fabspeed tips on and they didn't even match each other; they were slightly different diameters (second picture are the Fabspeeds). The B&B tips are rectangular so they don't match the openings in the bumper. The big, rice, fart can tips just look plain silly on a Turbo.
The factory tips were styled to go with the car (see the first picture). For a different look, strip the paint off the factory tips and have a polishing shop polish them for you.

I am thinking of having factory + look. Also thinking of installing factory tips "polished"

Do I need a new waste gate pipe for the straight pipe to fit factory tips ?

I think fs makes a all new muffler and tip now.
Agree on the rarlyl8, extremely loud.

No. The waste gate pipe is it's own pipe. You might have to have a shop fabricate an outlet pipe for the muffler that incorporates the factory pipe. I had to do that.

while you are at it, you could also remove the cat on the waste gate side and replace with straight pipe. Nice pictures
