^^^ even if, ... at the exact moment he took the pic, he had let off the gas & pushed the clutch in? ... the car would still be doing this speed, but the engine would immediately rev down.
seems like a plausible situation to me

who is pushing clutch at this speed letting rmp go down and reducing oil pump speed after such acceleration???

DREAM CAR!! As a life long Audi guy - former owner of a 1984 Quattro (only 65 imported) that I later swapped a 20VT (with RS2 Ex manifold and turbo and software etc) motor into - ahh the RS2. Even today would love to have this as my daily driver.

Fun back story. When I lived in Paris in 2009 my friend flew to Europe and bought this 1994 RS2 and drove it around for a few weeks before shipping it to Canada*. I took the train to Bruges and we drove it back to Paris.
*unlike the USA our importation rule is 15 not 25 years for cars that were never homologated

@urquattro20Vt They are awesome and definitely rare. Only 2-3 a year sell on BaT and they sell for 964 dollars now.

@965Guards is this the car from BaT ? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...-911-turbo-42/
It was a pretty heated conversation if I recall. I’d love hear how it’s been since that was nearly a year ago. What have you done to it ?

Getting ready for the Big Father's day gathering in Summit NJ. Took first in my 928GTS last weekend's Concours. This is just a show but the car hasn't been cleaned in a while. All new fluids and ready for some driving. Finally.

However considering I got a near perfect score at Parade and won the Stuttgart Award with only a few tenths deductions for made up BS. If politics didn't play a roll I would have been a close candidate for Best in show, if I wasn't competing against one of the sponsors who had 2 days inside to clean against my 2 hours outside after a rainstorm the night before I don't think I have to worry about competing.
Our new concours chair took Best In show at Parade last year. I have been competing against him for decades. He runs a Parade level show which isn't making some novices happy. He is always amazed how I get my cars so clean. My GTS was filthy after putting a few thousand miles on it after its last cleaning. I showed up cleaned for 2 hours while mostly talking and BSing and still got only .2 deduction being judged by some long time Parade Judges. My mistake for leaving my drivers floor mat in. I entered with 0 intention of even placing never mind taking first.
Sorry 928 content. Notice the bagel while cleaning LOL. My friend caught me when I wasn't looking. And yes I am old LOL.
Not a very flattering pic but this car was filthy before I showed up. I have 40 years experience showing and Judging at Judged events starting with Orangeburg NY PCNA headquarters back in the day. Over 100 1st place trophies for several cars. It isn't how hard you clean but what to know the judges look for. Being a long time Judge I think I figured it out by now. LOL.
BTW screw the Q-tips I use vintage Horse hair brushes. Far better and makes quick work of removing the dust.
