Default Are your lips rolled?

After discussing rolled fender lips with H2O LOL on another thread I realized that the rolled lips on my car might not have come that way from the factory. I am specifically talking 964 turbos here as we know the N/A cars did not come with rolled lips.

My car has about 2-3" of lip from the lower edges but the rest is neatly rolled flat against the inside of the fronts. The material folded extends about 3/8" up into the wheel well and is perfectly flat against the inside of the flair. The rear has basically a bead about 1/8" tucked up inside the rear wells.

I have seen many N/A cars with rolled lips and none come close to how this was done. Even cars that used a special tool designed to roll the lips was not so perfect. It looks as though this was performed during the manufacturing process. I just assumed it was done by the factory, there are no sharp edges either front or rear and their is no damage to any of the paint.

So this leads to my question how do your lips compare to what I described? I know this is too easy to leave alone but lets try not to let it digress too far.

thanks.

Mine are rolled on the fronts as you describe. They start out with a perpendicular (straight out) section, about 1/2" then are rolled to create a lip about 12" up from the rear of the arch all the way to where it meets the front bumper. On the rears they are just about 1/4 of an inch straight out towards the wheel. No roll just 90 degree bend. Hope this makes sense.

Mine were not rolled; I had to roll them to run 235s' up front.
The backs are cut away. I believe this was done at the factory.

Your necessity to roll them was because of tire size or ride height or a little of both?

I have rolled fenders om other cars that look factory - it is just a matter of how much effort you put into it.

I am waiting on my oem fenders from Porsche Classic and will let you know exactly how they came from the factory. I will take pics when they arrive.

I measured the flat lip parallel to the ground.
Back: 1/4 inch
Front: 1/2 inch
I can only assume mine are factory.
