I must admit it is odd dreaming of another man doing magic with my wheels. That being said I wish I had the opportunity/reason to contact Jim.

Sorry to steal the thread, but I know how much you guys like to see and talk about Speedline wheels. Here are pictures of a set for a 993 GT2 in Brazil that I shipped yesterday. They are new and custom built 9.5 and 11.5 - basically larger by 1/2" and each outer rim I used was 1/2" deeper than factory wheels. jdorociak@gmail.com Jim

Fantastic Jim! Well done
One question: Are those all speedline inner and outer rimhalves? Just curious to know if they are still available in most sizes.
Keep up the excellent work!
Best Regards,

Original Speedline inner rims and I have the outer rims manufactured. Once upon a time you could find a few Speedline parts at FVD, but most of that availability has dried up. jdorociak@gmail.com

The only guy to use in the UK is a chap called Adrian. If you pm me I can give you his details. He re-etches the "Speedline for Porsche" in the wheels and his work is second to none. His price is very good and well worth the money over places that "claim to be able to refurb 3 peice wheels".
I was going to get him to do my wheels but sold the car before i had a chance. He did my mates wheels and they are perfect!

Speedline 3.6 Turbo wheels are very time consuming to restore and expensive. There are several issues that have to be dealt with when doing these wheels. First is they have to be verified straight and round. It makes no sense to restore a bent out of round wheel. Secondly the factory finishes fail. They assemble the wheels and then clear powder coat over the face of the center, the bolt heads and the outer rims. When the wheels are moving cracks develop around the bolt heads and moisture gets under the clear powder coating causing the white veining you are seeing on the outer rim and even worse your polished centers. Next usually the bolt heads start rusting and now it is all down hill. The veining gets worse and even after the clear powder coating is removed you can have pits down into the rims that can not be sanded out. They will be better but never great. I use a different clear coat called TSC that requires 8 days to dry and once dry will not crack, chip, nor allow moisture under the clear coat. It also allows a brighter shine. I re plate the bolts with a more durable finish and shoot TSC over the polished centers as well. jdorociak@gmail.com jim
Wow Jim I remember when you first started doing these boy you have come a long way.

Anthony - I know and it has been painful at times. When I have a bad day I look at pictures of finished restored sets and it picks me up and I go back and work until I get the results I need and we all expect. Thank you all my friends for the kind words. jdorociak@gmail.com jim

Well - finally got my wheels rebuilt in the UK by Andy Rowlands. What a fine job he made of them! Took a long time to get them finished because he had problems with wheel polishing wherever he sent the wheels. However, they are now back on the car, here in Spain and much admired they have been. Here are a couple of pics to prove it.
