The 1991 TSB Summer Tire/Wheel Rim Summary identifies the wheels for a 1991 Turbo on page 6 (under "Porsche Approved Tire and Wheel Dimensions"): 7J x 17AH, ET55 front, and 9J x 17AH, ET55 rear. The 8J x 17, ET52, front wheel identified in the 2003 TSB Summer Tire and Wheel Summary is an alternative that requires the following changes: "On the front axle, the entire area of the fender lip is to be flanged beginning 150 mm above the side member trim up to the front section; it must never be ground. Also, the wings must be trimmed at the transition point to the front section."

Ahh...I see. Why doesn't the info next to the picture of the Cup wheels on page 7 match? That shows 6, 8 or 9 inch wheels. The 6 inch version part number ends in "00" but otherwise matches the 7 inch wheel part number. The 2003 TSB all seems to match, but still confused about the 1991 TSB.
The 965 362 126 00 part number is superceded to 965 352 126 01. That second part number identifies an 8J x 17 wheel for summer use for the Carrera 2/4 and for winter use for the Turbo.
The 965 362 128 00 part number refers to the 9J x 17 rear wheel for the Turbo.

That makes more sense. I'm ordering Streather's book this week, as well as the Bentley "Without Guesswork" and Dempsey's 2 books (101 Projects and How to Rebuild your 911 engine). Any other books you'd recommend?

RH wheels look just as good and are $3k. Speedlines are not available new. A restored set, if you can find them, are $5k and up.
Cancel your order for Streather's book, unless you need something for your coffee table. The rag is rife with errors and is totally useless for troubleshooting.
If you plan on tracking the car PSS10's or KW's are good, otherwise a nice set of H&Rs are less dollars and totally adequate for the street.

And I have a set (currently on the car w/ only ~7000 miles) of H&R adjustable coilovers that I'm thinking about taking off in favor of something with softer damping/valving for our crap Colorado roads...
