You sound just like me when my WUR went south. I left cars and Coffee , dropped a friend off and then it wouldn't start for 10min of cranking. It finally started, and sputtered home, loud fuel pump and all. How embarrassing it would have been if it did it one start earlier at Cars and Coffee!

Guess what? So has mine. I saw it when I was unhooking all the plugs during the engine drop.
Did you run down a new connector yet?

Hey Paul - wow - kinda funny. Good time and place to dscover it. I have not done anything yet - right now I just have them plugged together but secured. I have two spare Bosch flywheel sensors (one to dissect and likely damage and one to actually swap) from another car (Audi) and I _think_ the 3-pin connectors are the same - will try to remember to check them this weekend. Assuming so I plan to just swap the actual connector (assuming the shielded wire is not an an issue - and if it is I will have to beg my EE friend ;-). If this works it should be waaaayyy easier and cheaper (well, basically free) (but just as good) as a new sensor....
