I agree they look low in the pictures but we needed to keep the bar parallel with the ground to work properly. IIRC they were not much lower than the factory bar (.5" or so) although the change in drop link design only worked this way. Very reminiscent of the earlier 911 sway bar designs. Never had any issues with them scraping. I can only assume they had the same problems with the design as we had so I guess they must have redesigned them. However the car is very flat in the turns.

Mmmmmm, "flat in turns" that makes my day. All I have left to do is put on the rear bumper, roll the fenders, and its ready for a low boost test drive!

Roll the fenders? I thought they were rolled from the factory on the turbos.

Well I can only vouch for mine , but they are defiantly not rolled. I found that out when I was playing with ride height. I put a cut in the tire and pulled the lip on the front down a little.

I was thinking rears. Mine are rolled from the factory. Even running 235's I never had any issue with the fronts so wasn't considering those.

BTW I also added a bit of negative camber to my car. I will never run through a set of tires. Usually they get replaced after 6 years with 50% tread left. I am due for a new set now.

You know i am not really sure regarding the rears, I forgot to look today but I haven't had any rubbing in the back with a 295 on an 11 inch rim.

Not real sure about all the hardwear, but my bottom line is that I'm looking to lower my 91. My mechanic gave me a quote of 5k with everything bilstein and counterbalanced and installed.
How does this sound price wise?

Rich for sure.

As for the rear fenders they are thin lipped already so you are right, no need to roll them.

I can't give you much of an idea of cost except on the alignment and corner balancing which should cost around 800 from my experience. I have always installed my own coilovers and suspension bits. Maybe someone else can chime in or better yet you should start a thread on the 964 forum. There are lots more traffic in that section. Don't forget to exhaust the search feature before you post up. Good luck!

Considering Bilstein HD's 4 corners run just around $1000 including shipping. Springs are roughly $325 a set. So if the R&R takes 8 hours at $100 an hour there is an additional $800 and even if they get $250 each for corner balancing and alignment you should be in the ballpark of $2600. The only reason it should be double that price would be if you are being quoted a full KW or PSS10 type suspension upgrade. These components cost more money.

I am going to replace the H&R springs on my car for a KW V3 CoilOvers, the car suspension wise is too soft for my liking. I have V3's on my SLK55 and love the driving feel, very planted and sporty ride.

The Turbo 3.6 should feel a bit stiffer once the new suspension is installed.

Let me know how you like it. I will probably go that route but I have reservations because of the bumpy roads here in Oklahoma. Hopefully, I can adjust the stiffness to accommodate.

I've heard the KW V3s are nice - but more track oriented - a stiffer setup. Our roads here in Colorado have gone to crap so stiffer gets annoying.....
