Default 10" wheel with the most aggressive offset

Thinking about picking up a set of RH wheels (18x10 et 54) and was wondering what would i need to do to get an aggressive stance?

Would I need a a 10" spacers and would I still be able to put 285 to finish the look? It is ofcourse for my '91 Turbo..

Thanks

The RH wheel is more aggressive than Speedline. It all depends how low you want your suspension

The last set of RH wheels I built were 10.5". The Speedline wheel uses 1.75" rear outer lip vs the RH 2.25" the difference is the wheel centers have machined different offset on the RH vs the Speedline. jdorociak@gmail.com jim

It all depends on the tires. I had 18x10 ET40 (factory 993 turbo twists) on the rear of my '91, no problem at all with 265/35s. Stock Speedlines are 61, RHs are 54, and I ran twists with 40. They will all fit, but if you want to run 285 or 295 I think the RH are probably the best compromise.

FYI
In my experience the RH wheels buckle easily. With a 285 or wider will make it even more prone to bent rims.
I used Cargraphics in the end, and you can buy different rim depths and really fill the arches as much as possible.. but more $$$ to do it.

+1 on the rears being fragile.
Mine were pretty egg shaped, even running 265's. I bought some wider Speedline inners from Jim last winter and they are definitely stouter. The horrible road noise from the square wheels is gone now which is a nice side benefit.
Thing is, now my 295's don't look all that aggresive on the wider wheels (I don't really dig the small tire-wide wheel ghetto cruiser look) so next spring I'm going to try 315's.

Paul - make sure you let us know about the 315 tires. When I build for the 930 guys I build an 11 or larger and recommend 315 rear tires. jdorociak@gmail.com jim

I ran 285 on the rear of my RH wheels with a 5 mm spacer all around with no issues.

I'm running 225/285 combo and there's already too much understeer. I can't imagine the handling balance gets better with anything larger at the rear.

Many of the guys getting new wheels from me are picking 235/40 front tires and 285 for the rears. Jim jdorociak@gmail.com

Thanks Bernard, just looking at the photo again, the car sits so nice with the right tire and wheel combo. Great Stance! Tell me what suspension is the car sitting on? Bilsteins with uprated springs?

More pics!!!

So you guys reckon 285/30 and 225/40 wheel combo is best?
