Post Selling price at Barrett Jackson auction

Anyone catch that 92 911 turbo that sold for US$50k at the BJ auction! That's quite a high price for that car, which was basically stock.

What was the mileage of the car?

I wouldn't sell my car for anything less than that if I were forced to sell. But I know what you mean with this economy. I did a Kelly Blue Book on my car with 40k miles and in excellent condition as private party seller, and it got $48.8k. Not bad at all.

Did you see a 911SC Targa Martini edition sold for $38k yesterday? It was one of a kind with the Silver and red interior and Martini graphics. Over all the Porsches were sold well.

Regards,

It's hard for me to be critical of Porsche design, but with that Martini Edition, what were they thinking?

LOL, i can't wait for the guy who paid $38,000 for his 911SC to realize that it's nothing special, just a stock SC with some stickers down the side.....heheheehe, it's too bad he could've bought something a lot nicer with that $38,000.

Actually a very nice '91 Turbo went throught the classifieds recently. The co-owner of Imagine Auto had his for sale for quite awhile. This was a national-level concours quality 3.3L with all kinds of trick internals for less than $50K.

If I didn't already own one, I would have jumped all over that one. As it turns out, someone I know in Houston bought it (with my enthusiastic support)so I may get to see it very soon.

Guys,

I cannot believe the figures being mentioned. In Europe, 965’s start from $25K! (One of the few advantages of living in Europe) $40K will buy an exceptional one.
