17X9 et55

I wanted to make sure these would fit. After reading the previous messages in this thread I am uncertain that they will fit without spacers. On a related note, would the OEM 17" Cup wheels from a US 964 Turbo fit on my car as well? Thanks in advance. Jim
The only factory cupI's that came in a 17 x 7.5 ET55 are the magnesium Cups. If these are them they are quite valuable. Otherwise these are an aftermarket wheel. If they are the mag wheels i wouldn't use them for winter wheels. In fact sell them and you can finance new wheels tires and have money left over.

Great advice. I haven't purchased them yet. I don't want to use my Speedlines for winter use and I love the OEM look of the Cup 1s. Maybe I should use the Cup 1s for track events and buy a crappy wheel set for winter. I didn't realize they were so valuable. How much should a good set of Cup 1s go for?

Cup I's, II's and even later 18" Twists as well as 5 spokes from 996's with spacers would all work for the 964 widebody.

The only Mg cup 1's came on 964 RS's, they are worth $$$$. The 9 1/2 's that came on the Us cups are also quite valuable the rest are relatively inexpensive.

Sound like OE 993 RS wheels.
Does he want to sell?

If they look like these they would be either RS wheels if they say "SPEEDLINE for PORSCHE" on them if they just say speedline they are an aftermarket version made by speedline and not sold through Porsche.

What spacers would be required to fit genuine 3.6 Speedlines on a 1991 964T? Any suggestions on the tire sizes?

Thanks!!!

Despite what Adrian states they are a direct bolt up. You could add a 5mm spacer but not necessary. Most fit 225/40 and 285/30. Stock is 225/265 you can also fit 235/295 but not many options and quite pricey for minimal gain.

Amazing how times have changed and now all these wheels are quite valuable.

cobalt/all, the speedlines on my 3.6 were polished by the first owner. And not only I don’t like the polished look but the “speedline...” is polished off. I bought a new set (still in box) 15 years ago and will swap wheels. I will do some forensic work in the next 6mo time permitting and check part numbers on all wheels. Any thoughts on getting rid of original wheels, etc, keep/sell? value of used perfect polished speedlines?

There shouldn't be any negatives with changing to the new set of painted speedlines considering the original owner polished the original wheels - you are actually returning your 3.6 to its original specs. Regarding value, polished speedlines have different part numbers to painted, so it may be worth the cost to ship them to Jim Dorociak and have him restore them to original specs - including etching the 'Speedline for Porsche' script onto the lips. I haven't seen a set of Jim's wheels sell in years but with a new OE set from Porsche in the $10k range, you'll probably get a good return on the investment. I'll also note that Jim's wheels have a MUCH improved look and utilize higher quality coatings than the OE wheels.

Just to add - no spacers _required_ however I do run a 4 or 5 mm spacer on the rears. No issues.
I run 225/40 up front and 285/35 in back because I could get the Michelin PSS and I like the extra sidewall.

Agreed.

If it were me I would have jim refinish your wheels and use them. I would save the ones you purchased 15 years ago. The new finishes will last longer and look better. The OE wheels clear coat wasn't as clear.

If production dates are period correct NOS of the time I suspect they are worth more than any new wheels the factory is selling to the right person. I would keep them as is.
