Does anyone know the correct part number that should be on these. I am looking to buy a set for my 1991 3.3 Turbo to update the look and have been advised that these are a straight swop.

In addition i have seen a set of Speedline split rims off a 1994 RSR these look correct, they are 9.5x18 front 11x18 rear They have speedline for Porsche on the rims.

Are these the same wheels as appeared on the 3.6 Turbo or would the offsets be wrong.

according to the owner's manual(964 turbo 3.6) the size / offsets of the OEM Speedline 18" inch split rims are as follows:
Front 8J x 18 H2 rim offset 52mm
Rear 10J x 18 H2 rim offset 61mm

OEM's have the porsche reference part number that should read 965.xxx.xxx.xx along with the words "MADE IN ITALY". A further way which should verify that the wheels are OEM is to look for an upside-down triangle with a P (??) in it.

There are two versions of these:

965.362.136.00 - 8" x 18" ET52 - Cast silver metallic wheel with polished rim flange
965.362.140.00 - 10" x 18" ET61 - Cast silver metallic wheel with polished rim flange

965.362.136.01 - 8" x 18" ET52 - Cast alloy polished
965.362.140.01 - 10" x 18" ET61 - Cast alloy polished

No, these wheels are a different size all together and may or may not fit a regular Turbo body.

The Genuine Turbo 3.6 ROW wheels are not a straight swap onto 3.3 Turbo. The 964 Turbo (3.3) standard wheel size is 7JX17 front and 9JX17 rears with 55mm offset.
Viken has given you the part numbers and offsets for the 3.6 Turbo wheels and you will need spacers.
Now the Genuine "Speedline for Porsche" RSR wheels will not fit either again as said by Viken. These were specially made for the RS3.8 and the RSR. They are far too wide for your Turbo. The RS3.8 and RSR and the ROW Turbo 3.6 do not use a Turbo rear axle set up. The USA version of the 3.6 Turbo does. The ROWs mentioned above actually use a RS rear axle and suspension to provide more internal clearance.
There are 2 kinds of Speedlines on the market. The genuine Porsche versions which are like rocking horse pooh and very expensive or the aftermarket versions. The aftermarket versions are designed to fit with the current offsets.
If anyone tells you they are a straight swap I am afraid you may waste a lot of money or cause yourself problems if you believe them.
18 inch wheels do fit on the 3.3 Turbo if you get the right ones. Spacers will be required to avoid wheel rub.

Did I understand it correct?
The USA Turbo 3.6 and ROW 3.3 Turbo uses the same rear axle and suspension.
And the ROW RS and ROW 3.6 uses the same rear axle and suspension.
And that RS3.8 and RSR uses even more different rear axles and suspensions than the two mentioned above.

Dear Patrick,
You are reading this quite correctly. The USA Turbo 3.6 uses the rear suspesnion/axle set of the 1992 Turbo 3.3 with some re-inforcements. The ROW uses quite a different set up to ride somewhat lower than the USA versions. The ROW 3.6 uses a similar RS based set up. Very similar but I am not going to say that it is interchangeable.
This is all despite what is written in the parts catalogue by the way. Same part number, different part. One for ROW one for USA. Confused, well we have proven it and you know where it will all be written down.

Weights:

Front 17 lbs
Rear 24.5 lbs

These are the "polished" wheels which are actually powdercoated alum alloy then clear coated - they are not actually "polished" as we would imagine that to mean. I suppose the painted wheels may actually weigh a bit less. Both wheel types have - as we would imagine it to mean - polished alum lips which are clear coated.

Thanks, Mark. Those are much lighter than I thought. Didn't expect them to be below 20 lbs at all. Would have guessed about the same weight as 993 RS wheels which are built similarly by Speedline.

Resurrecting an old thread. I currently drive a '94 C4 widebody riding on 18" Speedlines. I want to purchase a set of 17" winter wheels and found some with the following sizes:

17X7.5 et55
17X9 et55

I wanted to make sure these would fit. After reading the previous messages in this thread I am uncertain that they will fit without spacers. On a related note, would the OEM 17" Cup wheels from a US 964 Turbo fit on my car as well? Thanks in advance. Jim

Yes these wheels above will fit straight on without any spacers. 964 turbo (Cup 1) wheels are 7" & 9" both ET55.
