Post Setting up HKS Boost Controller...

Looking of Advice on setting up a HKS EBC IVboost controller.
I read in a "Z" fourm you need to run wide open in 3rd gear to set this thing up...

Any advice on set-up would be welcome...
to be installed on 91 C2, Stock WG spring

Thanks, Kevin

perfect timing on your post... i just got a hks evc iv on thursday... im having it installed this week but dont know much about it yet, but i dont think you have to "set it up", it has fuzzy logic that learns your boost curve... im going back to my .8 bar spring also... one question for everybody... where is the best place to mount it? under the ashtray above the center console? in the console or glove compartment?

Got the HKS unit today, looks like a semi easy install just wondering if the control cable will be long enough... I guess I'll find out
Nice small unit I'll stick it under the ashtray.

Thumbs up

HKS is in...What fun, dial-a-smile...
I added a twist to my install, I took out one of the springs in my WG now I am able to "De Tune" the car for Wife/Friends to drive. Got the boost down to .5 bar. I know I have never seen any post here about less HP but it's a nice option to have.
Oh yes, running 1.10 is much more fun

Tas,
The install was not to hard, I ran the cable thru the tunnel and brought the cable in right behind the shifter under the center console.
I need to get a long black tie to fasten the unit down, I have 2 ties together so you can see more tie than you should.

enjoy yours!
Kevin

Kevin,

Tell me about the boost gauge I see in the picture. Where did that come from?

TAS where did your guy mount the stepper-motor unit?. I am going to move mine from being mounted off a bracket on the motor to a cooler place.
