It is going to depend on what the potential buyer is looking for. The engine mods, may scare some folks off. I think you are in the ballpark with the $35-40K range.

On a side note, my 4 year old and 15 month old ride in the back of the turbo some. My daughter loves going for rides it in. Not a daily basis though.

I'm thinking about moving on - I have not found a booster seat solution in the back that makes me feel good about driving more than a mile or two with my 7 or 4 year old back there. So a sedan may be the inevitable practical call.

I just checked autotrader.com to get a sense of values and it was no help. It seems like 965 values have stayed strong from 4 years ago, however - I didn't see a car listed for under $34k. Any help on what the value of this car might be? I traded email with Michael B (a previous owner of the baby) and he still feels great about the engine upgrades he made on this car back in 2000/2001 and remembers the 2001 PCA Concours win with it.

Thanks.

This is the best safty vest I have used and my two boys love them. They work great in our cars. My boys are ages 6,8

These upgrades add value. Especially when you factor in who did the work.
I apologize in advance if resurrecting this 5 year old thread is bad form.

I've owned the 965 that this thread refers to since 2003 and I've toyed on-and-off with selling. I've put some ads up on the local Craigslist at $43,500 and have gotten a bunch of bites, but no visits.

Am I priced too high for a car with 87,000 miles and 4 owners?

I thought it interesting that you said (way back when) you wanted a car that wasn't necessarily super fast, but _felt_ fast. Personally I think these cars are the other way around - they are faster than they feel (likely due to the high gearing and high speed stability (IMO))...

Pics pics ! :-)

I don't own one so take my opinion sparingly.. For an average condition driver that needs no work, this is closer to a dealer lot price, not private retail.

I have been looking for a 964t for a few months and the drivers sitting on dealer lots for $43k - $49k are not selling.

The one that got away and sold quick had 60k miles for $53k in concourse condition, (all original, no mods whatsoever, not even exhaust)
This is now my baseline in my search as far as price to condition to miles ratios.

Seems like you are in Cali but I'd still say this is typically not the time of year people are looking for toys...if it were April-August my guess is you'd have sold it already...don't know the condition or the mileage but my car is bone stock except suspension because I bought it already lowered...30K miles on it and cared for like royalty...there's no way I'm settling for $40K unless these cars for whatever reason just started diving ...then maybe...$40K is a nice 911 Turbo from the 80s...a 996 Turbo from model year 01-02...or a 964 Turbo with high miles soon to be needing a rebuild...not saying any of these would be bad....just saying...and I could be completely wrong but ...that's what these forums are for.
