First autox of the season

First autox of the season
We had our first auto-x of the season this past weekend. As usual, the 911 performed very well. With the single mass flywheel in the car, it seemed to perform better than I remember it. While lag was still noticeable, the car did seem to move better. Perhaps the -2C temperature had something to do with that as well

Fastest time, good job. I've never driven in an auto cross but I'm gonna take my C2T this year. Its wierd to see your car in the pack with a bunch of tiny 4 bangers. What do you credit it to, more power, better driving skills? How long have you been doing autocross.

Ian964, I think it's a combination of many things. The course was actually fairly tight with a lot of turning and not one spot where I could go full boost so I cannot really say it was the horsepower.
I really enjoy racing the 964 Turbo, it reminds me of my 100cc kart, it handles very similar, understeer initially followed by a neutral stance. I've been racing for seven years now, in various methods.
If you follow this link, you can view a vide of some runs taken that day: http://www.vcmc.ca/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=11;t=000239;p=1#000006
Also, if you click on Multimedia up in the menu, there are several videos of me racing the 911, my old 944 Turbo S and also my hillclimb car.

Was there a weather change during the event?
