Well, I got it! I am over the moon. As a kid, my father and elder brother owned 911s, and my brother's 86 930 was the first "fast" car I ever rode in. It's all now come fill circle!
This car has a pretty standard options list, fairly low miles at just under 36K, and while very clean, it is still a driver, and I plan to use it as such! After driving it 300 miles home, I took a few blasts up some favorite roads and parked it in the garage, which is now reeking with hot crackling Porsche stink. Fantastic.
It is in very good overall condition, but a few things need to be corrected before it is perfect.This winter will bring an engine reseal, and for now I'm going to address cracked B&B headers, a worn rear diff and a couple other little things. Otherwise, its going to be driven!
Thanks to all on the board for your contributions, and a special thanks to a those of you who have been generous to me with your time and knowledge. Glad to be an active Porsche owner again... this one is definitely the most special!

Before you overhaul your diff, try changing the oil. Do not use Delvac; it doesn't allow the clutch plates to slip going around corners (ask me how I know!). I recommend Mobil 1 75-W90 LS.
Rarlyl8 headers are quality pieces which will outlast B&B's.
I'll be resealing my engine this winter too. All the seals come to about $300 on Pelicanparts but some shopping could lower that.

Thanks Paul, great advice, will do. I'm going to a have a very good welder (and very good friend) determine whether the B&Bs are worth fixing.

Wow very nice indeed.
I am not a fan of cashmere interior (That is why I own two Porsche's with Cashmere interior
) However the Cashmere with deviating black carpeting and black piping is ideal. I haven't seen many 3.6T's with this interior and it looks stunning all the best of both worlds.
Enjoy the new toy, you will never tire of these cars.
