Grease for steering rack rebuild?

I'm just finishing rebuilding the steering rack for my '91 C2 Turbo. Does anyone know what kind of grease should be used on the gears?

The Bentley manual says "coat fully extended rack rod with VW steering grease AOF 063 000 04". Sounds like it would be ok for the rack/pinion also.
You might want to check over on the 964 board too.
