I remeber the car being at champion motors (bentley long island) and then it was givin to sloan on consignment and sold very quick, it does seem that the high end buyers for this car come from overseas, this is the lowest mile 3.6 as of today,

Is any part of that carbon on the dash OEM? We had a '91 here that had the lower pieces, and they had the same 'airbag' script on them...is it 993 stuff?

I like everything about that car except the interior. Guess I only dig the stock look....

I don't think it is OE either. I ordered a kit from FVD several years ago which looks similar to that one. I sent it back since it was designed around a 993 not a 964. The sunroof switch is in a different location on a 993.

None of it is factory, it started life as a blk blk car nothing more. All the work was done in 2004 10 yrs later. It is done very well in terms of the quality of the leather work etc. I have told Richard that none of that is factory but he insists it is despite seeing a copy of the work order dated 2004. Its still a very nice car just not sure why it is being advertised as 1 of 1 when its after market

True as in non factory I think it was a ball players car just dont remember which one, I usually like everything stock but I dont mind this at all I would just have a spare stock stering wheel and radio on the side.

The interior is pure clown car. Uwe Gemballa is looking down on that 964T and thinking "what a tasteful use of color...all it needs is a body kit."

Remember who you are dealing with here.... If I had to buy a Porsche from Sloan, I would switch marques and buy an F car.

He also had a flat brow and a 964 TS that were gone in a flash...

I know many here doubt him, but when I speak with people that either have bought cars from him or are really in the business they have a lot of respect for his cars and his word on them.

has anyone here actually bought a car from him and felt he misrepresented it?

not here to defend anyone, but so many seem to dis him and i just wonder what that's about...

I bought my 964 Turbo from Sloan. The experience was "interesting" but the only two annoying parts were that a) he did not allow for me to have the PPI conducted by the garage of my choice (Dan Jacobs) and b) it took a long time for him to produce the correct title from the actual seller. He had EXACTLY the car I wanted and there were only 12 of them built for the US - what to do? Don't forget that in principle he's another used car salesman so do proper due diligence.

My purchase became a real nightmare because of Farnbacher Loles and not Richard Sloan. They are out of business now anyway so they got what they deserved.

Then you DID get the car you were promised in the condition you were promised?

The reason I even ask this is because I am in the Service Business as well. Sometimes people say things that are not correct, or complain because they think they are entitled to something that they were not, and often something that was not even discussed.

Then they say things that are negative, but are totally unjustified because they can, not because it is right. I'm sure many here have been victim of just such things in their lives as well.

Again, I'm not defending the guy, just asking folks who actually did business with him if he's all that bad. I may do business with him at some point and am looking for real experience, not "stories".

If I were buying a car from him today I would only use Dan Jacobs for a PPI. He is close and he is really amazing at what he does he is the expert on these cars and I rust him 100%
