Sorry about that 285-30's on the rear and 225-40's up front. The rears are 18X10 54mm offset and 18X8 front with a 52mm offset.

Interesting.
I run a 235 tire up front with a 5 mm spacer and it rubs so I'm not understanding how you fit a 245 without losing a lot of turning radius not to mention shreading the tire on the wheel well opening. You don't mention use of the 3.6 10 mm steering stops that are needed to run the bigger tire.
At the rear my 10 inch rim is only .5 inch from touching the trailing arm and the outside of the rim is line to line with the quarter panel opening. I've seen Jim's 10.75 Speedline build-up and a set of those wheels is on my Christmas list....

Your 235/40-18 front tires rub because they are too tall, not too wide. Both the sizes I listed fit without rubbing. They 'might' just touch at full-lock but I never hold the steering wheel hard against the lock. FWIW, on the front of the 964 RS 3.8 Porsche used 18x9" ET48 with a 235/40-18 tire. You might try a 3mm front wheel spacer to reduce the rubbing on your car.

Regarding the rear, if you have the OE-spec 18x10" ET61 wheels, the inner barrel is more than 0.5" (12.Xmm) away from the trailing arm. It might only be ~15mm away, but that is enough clearance to fit an 11" wheel with a few MMs to spare. In terms of clearance to the outside of the fender, it does depend on the model/brand of tire you choose, how much camber you run and the symmetry of the body/fenders. These cars are always different left to right.

Actually, they rub on the rear wheelhouse at full lock and only when backing out of my driveway. It's really annoying. I do run 5 mm spacers.

AThompson runs the Speedline 10.75 rears as supplied by Jim Dorociak. They look great. I'd love 11's but I wouldn't want to run more than -1 camber.

^^^ can't agree more. The clear corners are so over done, and they are just washed out white.

Congrats to the op. Guards Red 965 is one of the best color for the car. The wide body and the sharp color goes so well together.

I hear you Metal but it has nothing to do with fashion I just like the clear ones better...and most folks keep their corners stock and I wanted something different...I also got a Xenon kit for the headlights and that had nothing to do with fashion and more to do with wanting to see at night.

Hey RSA...the clear corners are so over done? Like the spoilers on the back of all of our cars? LOL...so I'll bet you feel polished wheels are way over the top...I would agree on some cars and certainly never chrome....I love hearing these comments about our cars and it is certainly personal preference...all good...my clears are actually yellow at night....and now back to topic..the red 964 is nice IMO...enjoy it and drive it!

LOL! I like the stocks and the clears. For now they will be staying the stock orange.

Couple questions...

Has anyone replaced all their interior bulbs with white LED's? If so, where did you source them?

Also, will be heading to the drag strip at the beginning of next month with the local club. These will be my first runs down a strip ever. What can I expect? What is a good/safe launching point for this car? Any pointers for me? Just looking to have some fun and not destroy the car

I would rather have 295 on a 10.5 than 265 on a 11.5 but that's just me
