Dear all,
Unfortunately I have find this discussion to late.
I have ordered for my 964 turbo 3.6 (USA version) new set of stickers from official Porsche Dealer and get some rubbish paper in silver (so not even gold) ... all of them
Of course stickers completly do not match to the one I used to have before repainting the car. They sold me also big sticker "VACUUM HOSE ROUTING DIAGRAM" that doesnt even fit in that place.
Can you tell me what exactly should be on those two stickers on the right down part (for US version and 3.6 turbo) becouse image is too small to read
If someone will find a place where you can buy / order to buy metal one, please let us all know
Thanks! so what is the second sticker next to "Check engine oil ..."?
And is there any place where it is possible to buy it paper gold (not silver), not mentioned metal?
Porsche Dealer has send me the stickers listed above in PET.
Unfortunately it is not what originaly had been placed by factory.
Now they ask me to send the numbers of proper plaquetes / stickers I am expecting.
For my 964 turbo 3,6 (US version) as I understand it is:
930.006.543.00 (paper / foil?)
694.006.111.00 (metal)
965.701.287.03 (metal)
The BMC air kit was installed so I could get to to adjustments on the JIC suspension, but it also shows to be a slight improvement on Dyno, Tech thinks intercooler was slightly enlarged at some point, Had Patrick Motors powdercoat shroud when I did calipers.
Charge, that is pure Porsche ****!
BTW, does anyone know what happened to James' other turbo (the 993 GT2 replica)?
I know Richard Chamberlin who was asked by the family to re-home the cars sold it, aparently to a chap who decided to knock £10k out the deal at the finish to his dismay. Believe it was a Frisinger RSR, so not a turbo, but dont know if it was a 3.8.
Do you care to share what was done? Is it a 964 turbo modified or a N/A with low boost stage 2. I am building a track car with a similar looking IC setup but will have two smaller turbos hanging off the back end and center exhaust.
He spent an obscene amount of money on the flatnose, which was originally a Horizon Blue 3.3 turbo as it left the factory.
Over the ten years of ownership, he caught the performance bug, fueled by the desire to crack 200mph at the Vmax event at Bruntingthorpe ( an old runway here).
After asking Richard Chamberlin ( CTR Developments and 935 runner in Britcar) to build the original engine he managed 198mph with just short of 600bhp.
Impressed with the speed of build, he commisioned Richard to build a car that was not limited by budget, and take an air cooled engine as far as possible with modern engineering before the water cooled heads are necessary (as per 962).
The build is amazing, and James cracked 212 mph in he end.
See the origunal build thread here https://rennlist.com/forums/964-turb...-progress.html
Unfortunately as other know on here, it has a sad ending, for a guy only 37 years old. RIP James

I do recall the thread at its beginning I never subscribed. I was going through some health problems myself while this was happening and I stayed away from the forums for the better part of it. Sad to see he passed at such an early age.
Thanks for the link I am glad I revisited it. Some serious work he had done and a real thrill seeker. Not much there that was still 964 turbo though. Glad to see he achieved his goal before his passing.
